A recommendation from Susan
Linda Christenson/Lindy has been a caregiver for my husband for (since Spring of 20012) 6 months. He has Alzheimer’s and is not easy to care for. She helps with dressing him, helps him to shave, cuts his nails, cooks for him, (he likes what she fixes!) and cleans up the floor when he has an ‘accident’.
She also at the same time helped with my post surgery rehab.
She also is great at cleaning, and vacuuming.
I would recommend her very highly.

That's so very Good susan, I love Gordy now with a very special piece of my heart....
I have to say Susan, I really think your doing the right thing. It is just too much for you to handle...your going to get sick with the stress of it all if you go on too much longer.
My Grandmother went into a real bad state of mindfulness after Grampa went to the home. Be careful...please do not to let this happen to yourself.
Stay active with your friends.
This is what I recommend for you.
1) Get a massage every week after Gordy goes for the first month. and once a month after that.
2) Go to my friend and colleague "Tom Geha" the acupuncturist, he will free up the energy Flow in your energetic system and let new and wonderful things in.
3) Start going to the once a month Caregivers therapy circle, this will give you a place to speak your thoughts and truths. It's very important to Talk about how your going to feel. There's no better place than with others that understand and have gone through the same thing as you are going through.
4) Drink lots of water.
5) As the months go by.......you will adjust.
I want to give you Healing Touch, but I realize you are on an even tighter budget when the Circle of Life begins....so call me PLEASE when your feeling down...I will come right over and cheer u up, do a little house work and we can continue Healing touch when you want to.

We have decided to sell the Farm to this nice couple...closing will be on Dec 30th..most likely, after that I will be home with the horses. and we will always be good friends.

Gordon passed away today at 2:00. I had been with him from about 7 a.m. until 11:30 when I went home for lunch. When I returned at about 2:30 he had passed away.
Jeff, (son) is coming down tonight so I will be fine.

As promised I am connecting you both. Lindy was the person who sold her house to us when we first moved to Seattle area and has been a friend since then. She is a wonderful light being, caregiver, a beautiful model and great friend to be with. Currently she is taking care of an old friend in Australia. But i guess she is homesick and wanting to be back join her husband in Santa Barbara. She leaves Australia by 29th January. And she will be the person who has all the info on a caregiver position for her friend.
As for Shanley, she a founder and CEO of the Nakate Project. She is a humanitarian and has been on different terrains of the world. Currently more focused on African Continent, she is very familiar to rural set ups.
So now it will be between you both to connect and make things happen.
